CAREER

The piano has been the focus of my life since early childhood. After earning a bachelor’s degree, I studied music and piano performance at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Indiana University, Bloomington, and The Hochschule für Musik in Vienna and with Frau Professor Hedy Krencioch at the Vienna Conservatoire. As a soloist, performances include Vienna, Paris, London, New York, Houston, and Tel Aviv. My career as a teacher began through a private studio in southwest Houston, Texas where I taught a large number of individual classes for twenty-three years to children and adults of all ages. The many students, of various backgrounds, and levels of training kept me actively involved with their performances and future education.

Along with music, I maintain an active interest in all aspects of the fine arts, especially literature, drama, and 20th-century art. I read extensively on the history of the Holocaust and related material concerning Jewish life during that period. I continue to focus on studying new piano repertoire, refining and interpreting what I've learned. It is this pursuit that makes me feel fortunate allowing me to enjoy all the other things that enrich my life.
